Shift: Shifts are 6:50am to 3pm or 2:50pm to 11pm (Rotates weekly)

Pay: $23-24/hour (based on experience) Afternoons has a 0.75 shift premium

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Food Processing Machine Operator to operate and monitor food processing and packaging equipment. The successful candidate will support daily production, maintain product quality, and ensure compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate, monitor, and adjust food processing and packaging machinery to meet production and quality requirements.
- Follow recipes, production schedules, and established operating procedures.
- Perform equipment start-ups, shutdowns, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
- Monitor product quality, check oven temperatures, collect samples, and complete required quality and food safety checks.
- Identify and report production issues, equipment malfunctions, and quality concerns to the appropriate team members.
- Handle raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished products safely and efficiently.
- Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas in accordance with GMP, HACCP, and sanitation standards.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements.




- Complete production records, checklists, and other required documentation.
- Work collaboratively with team members, Quality Assurance, and Maintenance to minimize downtime and maintain efficient production.
- Assist with inspections, break coverage, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

- Previous machine operating experience in industrial baking, food processing, food and beverage manufacturing, or a similar regulated environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Good communication and basic math skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced team environment.
- Willingness to learn, cross-train, and perform a variety of production duties.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and workplace safety practices is an asset.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

- Work around moving machinery, industrial equipment, and noisy environments.
- Exposure to hot, humid, dusty, or chemical environments may occur.
- Ability to climb ladders and access work platforms.
- Ability to regularly lift or move up to 15 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow all required food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
