Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Water Treatment Technician to join our team. This role involves the efficient installation, operation and maintenance of water treatment systems. The ideal candidate will possess robust mechanical knowledge, analysis skills, and experience with water treatment equipment and processes. Duties

- Install, operate and monitor water treatment systems.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs), control valves and distributed control systems (DCS) to manage equipment functions.
- Perform routine equipment repairs and preventative maintenance to ensure system reliability.
- Collect and analyze data related to water quality, system performance, and process efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and data collection efforts in software program.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues involving plumbing, pumps, valves, and other system components.




- Assist with construction or installation projects related to water treatment infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards through proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to protocols.

Experience

- Prior experience in water treatment is preferred however training is provided.
- Plumbing or electrical background is preferred
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS).
- Mechanical repair skills, including plumbing, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting, construction or maintenance background is an asset.
- Familiarity with data collection, analysis skills, and basic math for process monitoring.
- This position requires a proactive approach to safety, technical proficiency in water treatment systems, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
