ABOUT THE ROLE

McCarthy Place Retirement Residence is seeking a Part-Time Housekeeper to join our team.

As a Housekeeper, you will perform cleaning duties and routines that help maintain a clean, pleasant and protected environment for residents and employees.

Pay: $17.95 per hour, plus a $0.40 per hour night shift premium
Schedule: Primarily nights, but there will be shifts on days and evenings

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform routine housekeeping and cleaning duties throughout the residence.
- Maintain cleanliness in resident areas, common spaces and assigned work areas.
- Follow established cleaning routines, safe work practices and infection prevention procedures.
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely and appropriately.
- Report maintenance concerns and safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.
- Work respectfully around residents, recognizing their comfort and privacy.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability to learn and apply basic housekeeping skills through on-the-job training.
- Ability to work independently, manage assigned tasks and follow instructions.
- Ability to cooperate and communicate effectively with others.




- Previous housekeeping experience is an asset.
- Experience working in a health care or retirement residence environment is an asset but is not required.
- Availability to work day, afternoon, night and weekend shifts.
