We are searching for a Head Chef to lead the onsite restaurant and an Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day retreat operations at a unique, year-round boutique resort close to Sudbury ON.

Ideally, we would love to welcome a couple with complementary experience in culinary leadership and hospitality operations. These are two distinct roles, working closely together with ownership and a small onsite team to deliver a welcoming guest experience.

Private onsite cabin accommodation is provided, and living on the property is a requirement.

Head Chef – Onsite Restaurant

The Head Chef will take ownership of the onsite restaurant’s culinary operation, combining a hands-on approach with a commitment to food quality, consistency and warm hospitality.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead daily kitchen operations and food preparation
- Develop menus suited to the restaurant’s concept, guests and seasonal availability
- Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and service standards
- Manage food purchasing, inventory, food costs and waste
- Maintain food safety, sanitation and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Plan and execute food offerings for group stays, retreats and special events
- Work closely with the Operations Manager and ownership to coordinate service and guest needs

What you bring:

- Experience as a Head Chef, or a solid Sous Chef ready to lead a kitchen
- A hands-on leadership style and strong organizational skills
- Experience with menu development, purchasing and food cost management
- The ability to work effectively within a small team
- A genuine interest in rural living and being part of a boutique hospitality operation

Operations Manager – Retreat & Guest Operations





The Operations Manager will oversee the retreat’s daily operations, ensuring guests are well cared for and accommodations, grounds and amenities are maintained to a high standard.

Key responsibilities include:

- Oversee day-to-day retreat and guest operations
- Lead and support a small onsite team
- Coordinate housekeeping and accommodation readiness
- Support reservations, guest arrivals and guest inquiries
- Coordinate contractors and skilled trades when required
- Oversee outdoor amenities and recreational areas
- Manage operational purchasing, supplies and inventory
- Coordinate group stays, retreats and special events alongside the Head Chef
- Work with ownership on operational priorities and property improvements

What you bring:

- Experience in a lodge, resort, inn, cottage property, campground, glamping operation or similar hospitality setting
- Strong guest service and people leadership skills
- A practical approach to property care and maintenance
- Strong organization, initiative and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently and take ownership
- An appreciation for nature and rural living
