Overview

We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Driver to provide reliable transportation and courteous service to passengers. The role may involve transporting children, older adults, or other passengers, so patience, professionalism, and respect for individual needs are essential. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, follows schedules and safety procedures, and helps create a comfortable, welcoming experience for every passenger.

Responsibilities

- Transport passengers safely and punctually along assigned routes or to scheduled destinations.
- Provide attentive, respectful assistance when passengers enter or exit the vehicle, including children and older adults who may need additional support.
- Maintain a calm, professional manner and use strong customer service and communication skills when interacting with passengers, families, and colleagues.
- Follow applicable traffic laws, route instructions, passenger-safety procedures, and privacy expectations.
- Conduct routine vehicle checks, report maintenance concerns, and keep the vehicle clean and orderly.
- Use basic mechanical knowledge to identify common vehicle issues and determine when service or assistance is needed.




- Keep accurate trip records and complete required written reports using explicit writing skills.
- When appropriate to the position, support passengers with directions or basic instruction; teaching experience can be helpful when working with children.

Requirements

- Valid commercial driver’s license and a safe driving record; any required license or endorsement for the vehicle and passenger type must be maintained.
- Commercial driving experience is an asset, particularly for roles involving larger vehicles or scheduled passenger routes.
- Strong communication, punctuality, sound judgment, and a commitment to passenger safety.
- Experience working with children and senior care experience are valuable, but not required for every assignment.
- Bilingual or multilingual ability is an advantage. Spanish and English proficiency is especially useful for communicating with a diverse range of passengers and families.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, complete basic documentation, and treat passengers with patience and respect.

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
