We are seeking a knowledgeable, patient, and engaging remote Biology Tutor to provide dedicated academic support for a 10th-grade student. In this role, you will help simplify complex biological concepts, assist with weekly homework and lab reports, and prepare the student for upcoming quizzes and final exams. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, highly organized, and passionate about making science accessible and exciting in a virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct one-on-one virtual tutoring sessions focused on the standard Grade 10 Biology curriculum, covering topics such as cell structure, genetics, evolution, ecology, and human body systems.
- Develop customized lesson plans, study guides, and practice materials to address the student’s specific learning gaps and reinforce classroom instruction.
- Assist with homework assignments, project research, and lab report formatting.
- Track academic progress and provide regular, constructive feedback on performance.
- Utilize online whiteboards, screen sharing, and interactive science simulations to create an engaging and effective remote learning experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Life Sciences, Secondary Education,



or a related field.
- Proven experience tutoring or teaching high school-level science, with a strong preference for 10th-grade biology experience.
- Deep understanding of current high school biology standards and curricula.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to break down complex scientific processes into easily digestible terms.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection, a quiet qualified workspace, and proficiency with remote teaching tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, digital whiteboards).

Schedule & Compensation

- Job Type: Part-time, Contract
- Schedule: Flexible, primarily during after-school hours or weekends.
