Position Details

- Position: Part-Time After School Teacher
- Location: B&D; Montessori Learning Academy
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Employment Type: Part-Time
- Start Date: ASAP

Qualifications

- Experience working with children is preferred.
- Responsible, reliable, and enthusiastic.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid Criminal Record Check (or willingness to obtain one before employment).
- Valid First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- ECE, ECEA, Responsible Adult certification, or relevant childcare experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

- Lead and facilitate engaging after school activities focused on academic support, arts, sports,



and social-emotional development
- Provide tutoring and educational assistance in subjects such as reading, math, and science to support students’ learning needs
- Create a welcoming workplace that promotes positive behavior, cooperation, and respect among children
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and school staff to ensure each child's individual needs are met
- Supervise children during snack time, outdoor play, homework sessions, and transitions between activities
- Maintain a safe environment by enforcing program rules and adhering to safety protocols
- Document attendance, behavior incidents, and progress reports to track student development

Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 per week
