Shift Availability: Nursing coverage is required seven (7) nights per week. Multiple positions are available to provide coverage on a rotational schedule, including weekends and statutory holidays.
Training: Paid orientation and training will be provided to ensure staff are familiar with Foothills Centre's policies, procedures, medical protocols, and client care requirements.

Position Overview: Licensed Practical Nurse, under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, assists,
coordinates and provides nursing care by applying nursing practice standards set by the College for Alberta’s Licensed Practical Nurses (CLHA); provides appropriate and safe care of clients and other duties as requested.
Professional & Personal Qualities:
Graduation from an accredited LPN program and current license with the College for Alberta’s Licensed Practical Nurses (CLHA) as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Previous experience working in addiction treatment or behavioral health settings is preferred but not required.
Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to recognize signs and symptoms of substance use disorders, withdrawal syndromes, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to caring for individuals with substance abuse disorders.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and confidentiality.
Ability to function independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
Able to provide and receive constructive feedback.
