Job Description

Facility Network / We Install It is a leading national provider of installation and field services across Canada. We are seeking an experienced and reliable Blinds Installer / Handyman to service residential and commercial customers in the Victoria BC area.

The successful candidate will have experience installing blinds, roller shades, shutters, and related window coverings. This individual must be customer-focused, detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of completing installations independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

- Install roller shades, blinds, shutters, and associated mounting hardware and components according to manufacturer specifications and work order requirements.
- Measure, assess, and prepare window openings to ensure accurate fit, alignment, and proper operation of window coverings.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete installations.
- Troubleshoot installation issues, make necessary adjustments, and ensure all products operate correctly upon completion.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and leave the customer's property in good condition.
- Travel to various customer locations within the assigned service area.
- Provide skilled, courteous, and respectful customer service at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams regarding scheduling, job status, delays, site conditions, and installation issues.
- Maintain reliable communication through telephone, email, voicemail, and other required communication channels.
- Respond to calls and messages promptly and keep appointments as scheduled.




- Submit required job completion documentation, including photographs, customer sign-offs, and other work order information as applicable.
- Manage assigned work independently, meet scheduling commitments, and complete installations within expected timelines.
- Follow all applicable health and safety requirements and company procedures.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum of 1–2 years of blinds or window covering installation experience.
- Experience installing roller shades, blinds, shutters, and related mounting systems.
- Demonstrated ability to use hand tools, power drills, and other tools required for installation.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills; computer and smartphone proficiency is an asset.
- Ability to follow installation instructions, manufacturer specifications, and work order requirements.
- Valid driver's licence, reliable transportation, and appropriate automobile insurance.
- Access to a smartphone and email for scheduling, communication, and work order updates.
- Ability to travel throughout the assigned service area and meet scheduled appointments reliably.





Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and work in various positions for extended periods.
- Ability to safely lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 45 pounds as required.
- Ability to safely use ladders and work at various heights when required, subject to applicable safety requirements.
- Ability to perform hands-on installation work in a variety of residential and commercial environments.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
