Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant, Accounts Receivable to own the full Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) accounting cycle, including cash application, billing, credit, collections, and customer account management. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, service-minded accounting professional who thrives in a high-volume environment and enjoys improving processes.

The Senior Accountant’s duties will include:
Process and apply customer payments, including ACH, credit card, and check transactions
Manage billing for API platform fees, vendor discount programs, and marketing-related invoicing
Review credit applications, monitor credit limits, and oversee collections activity and AR aging
Prepare bad debt accruals, write-offs, reconciliations, and AR-related month-end reporting
Support audit requests and maintain accurate AR balances and supporting documentation
Set up and maintain vendor and customer records in financial systems
Serve as a key point of contact for billing, payment, and account inquiries
Identify and implement opportunities to improve cash application, collections, and reconciliations using AI and automation
Document AR processes, controls, and policies
Other duties or tasks as assigned

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
Post-secondary education in a relevant field; professional accounting designation an asset
At least five years of accounting experience
At least three years of experience with accounts receivable, billing




Experience in a high-volume or e-commerce environment preferred
Proficiency with NetSuite, Stripe, and Excel; experience with Ramp or similar tools is a plus
Working knowledge of US GAAP, AR accounting, bad debt reserves, and credit risk assessment
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing deadlines
Clear and professional communication skills with both internal stakeholders and customers
Interest in or experience using AI tools to streamline repetitive finance processes
