The rate quoter prepares and communicates freight pricing for business customers, balancing accurate data, responsive service, and commercial needs. This role works across customer relationships and supply chain coordination to support transparent, timely quoting and dependable service.
Duties
- Prepare freight quotes using customer requirements, shipment details, and available pricing information; enter quote data accurately in relevant systems, including AS400 where applicable.
- Respond to B2B customer inquiries, explain pricing and service options, and follow up to support timely decisions.
- Coordinate with account management, sales management, and 3PL or supply chain partners to confirm details and resolve quote questions.
- Apply negotiation and inside sales skills to support customer relationships and account growth.

Qualifications
Required: Clear communication, accurate data entry, customer relationship management, and the ability to organize freight information and coordinate with colleagues are essential to preparing reliable quotes. Preferred: Experience in freight, supply chain, 3PL, B2B sales, inside sales, account management, or sales management is advantageous, as are negotiation skills and familiarity with AS400 or similar systems.
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
