Position Overview

As a Recreation Experience Coordinator, you will ensure the safe and smooth operation of our pool facilities, lead Aquafit classes, and help create a welcoming and engaging experience for all facility users. A strong background in recreation, sports management, kinesiology, or a related field is required, along with the ability to deliver group fitness programming.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead a 40–50 minute Aquafit class for participants of varying fitness levels
- Lead a 40–50 minute Aerobics exercise class for participants of varying fitness levels
- Monitor and maintain safety standards in and around the pool area
- Conduct regular checks of pool equipment, water chemistry, amenities and facility cleanliness
- Perform daily light maintenance (e.g., cleaning filters, skimming pool, tidying deck)




- Open and close the pool area following safety and facility protocols
- Respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and incidents
- Organize and support recreational activities and ensure positive guest experiences
- Communicate with fellow staff to ensure smooth operations during shifts

Requirements

- Background in Recreation, Sports Management, Kinesiology, or related field
- Experience or can lead a group fitness or Aquafit classes (preferred)
- Comfortable handling pool chemicals (PPE & training provided)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Robust communication, reliability, and professionalism
- Must be available full-time, including evenings and at least one weekend day

- Job Type: Part-time / Full-Time
- Location: 5 Greystone Walk Drive, Scarborough (on-site)
- Pay: $18.00–$20.00 per hour (based on experience)
- Start Date: As soon as possible
- Hours: Weekdays (3PM to 10 PM), Weekends (12 PM to 10 PM)
