Senior Analyst, Inventory & Fulfillment

Location: Vancouver, BC
Contract: Through January 2028
Schedule: 40 hours/week, hybrid with 4 days per week in office

The Opportunity

We are supporting a leading global consumer brand in hiring a Senior Analyst to join its fulfillment inventory management team. This role is focused on improving inventory health, returns processing, distribution centre capacity, and end-of-life inventory management across a large North American fulfillment network.

The ideal candidate is a strong functional analyst who can work with complex data, build robust Excel models, identify the story behind the numbers, and turn findings into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders. This is not a BI development or data engineering role. Strong analytical judgment, financial rigor, problem solving, and communication are central to success.

Key Responsibilities

- Build complex Excel models using large inventory and operational datasets.
- Identify trends, risks, root causes, and opportunities across inventory and fulfillment operations.
- Forecast inventory challenges, including aging and stranded inventory.
- Improve returns processing, consolidation, and inventory flow across distribution centres.
- Develop clear KPIs, reporting tools, and decision-support models.
- Quantify the financial and operational impact of proposed process improvements.
- Present concise, data-driven recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders.




- Support initiatives focused on inventory health, capacity utilization, labour efficiency, and cost savings.
- Document and improve operational processes across multiple teams and locations.
- Influence stakeholders and drive alignment where ownership may sit across several functions.

What We Are Looking For

- 5+ years of experience in analytics, finance, strategy, consulting, operations, or a related field.
- Advanced Excel modelling skills are essential.
- Robust ability to interpret complex datasets and translate analysis into business recommendations.
- Experience working across highly cross-functional environments.
- Strong attention to detail and financial discipline.
- Ability to communicate complex findings simply and clearly.
- Experience presenting to and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Power BI experience is an asset.
- Experience with Snowflake, Anaplan, or similar platforms is beneficial.
- Retail, e-commerce, inventory, fulfillment, or returns experience is helpful but not required.

Preferred Backgrounds

- Candidates coming from accounting, finance, CPA, Big Four, management consulting, strategy, retail, e-commerce, or large-scale operational environments may be particularly well suited to this opportunity.
- Supply chain experience is valuable, but the strongest candidates will bring a combination of analytical depth, commercial thinking, modelling capability, and the ability to influence decisions.
