About the Role
We are a general contracting company looking for a reliable, hands-on Field Coordinator to support daily operations across multiple construction projects. You will be the link between our office, project teams, and workers on site — making sure the right people and materials are in the right place every day.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and dispatch workers daily across different project sites based on each project's needs
- Communicate with workers and site teams in Mandarin and English, and relay instructions and updates between sites and the office
- Prepare and send the daily work report: work completed, next day's plan, worker assignments, equipment and support needed
- Assist with purchasing and coordinating delivery of materials for various projects
- Track materials and supplies on site and flag shortages in advance
- Handle other day-to-day tasks and errands the company needs support with
Requirements
- Experience in the construction industry; good knowledge of construction work and building materials
- Able to communicate fluently in English and Mandarin (daily communication with Mandarin-speaking workers)
- Strong organizational and coordination skills; able to handle multiple projects at once
- Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working on active construction sites
- Valid BC driver's licence and willingness to travel between project sites in Metro Vancouver
- Basic smartphone/computer skills (messaging apps, simple spreadsheets)
Assets
- Experience with materials procurement or warehouse/inventory work
- Previous experience as a site coordinator, foreman assistant, or labour coordinator
