Lead Gas Technician (G2 / G1): Run Your Own Crew

About the role

Bergeron Mechanical is growing, and we need a lead technician to grow with us. You’ll run your own crew. You’ll set the standard on every job, make the calls in the field, and be the person your techs and customers count on.

We’re building something real in the Ottawa Valley. We want someone who’s ready to stop just turning wrenches and start leading. You’ll handle residential service and light commercial accounts. You’ll take the tough diagnostics yourself and develop the people working alongside you.

What you’ll do

Lead a crew on installs, potentially residential or commercial service calls depending on skills

Assign work, set priorities and keep jobs on schedule and on budget





Train and mentor apprentices and junior techs, building their skills and confidence

Handle the tough diagnostics and escalations yourself

Make sure every install, startup and inspection meets code, and sign off on your crew’s work

What we need

G2 licence required; G1 strongly preferred

4+ years of field experience in gas service and installation

Experience leading a crew, running jobs, or mentoring apprentices

Valid driver’s licence and a clean abstract

Confidence making decisions in the field, and owning them

Clear, honest communication with your crew and with customers

Nice to have: forced air, hydronic/boilers, tankless, or commercial rooftop experience. Bilingual (EN/FR) is a strong asset in our market.
