Heavy Duty Mechanic – Approximately 6-Month Contract

AAA Striping & Seal Coating Service is looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team for an approximately seven-month contract. The contract duration may vary depending on operational needs, with the possibility of a permanent position.

Working primarily in our Wetaskiwin shop, with occasional field service work, you’ll tackle a wide variety of mechanical and electrical repairs. This opportunity is ideal for a dependable mechanic who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality workmanship, and values teamwork and safety.

Role Responsibilities

- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic,



and electrical issues
- Maintain specialized paint and thermoplastic systems
- Complete CVIP inspections and ensure fleet compliance
- Perform field repairs as required
- Maintain service records and manage shop inventory
- Follow and enforce safety procedures, including PPE, lockout/tagout, and field-level hazard assessments

Role Requirements

- Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician certification (Red Seal) — required
- Valid CVIP licence — required
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience mentoring apprentices is an asset
