Operate MRI acquisition equipment at Victoria General Hospital while delivering client-centered care across multiple Island Health sites as scheduled.

Under general supervision, the MRI Technologist performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging special procedures within a multidisciplinary health care team.
The position includes requisitions, supplies, patient monitoring, image archiving, and computerized patient data systems.
This is a casual, multi-site assignment with rotating days off.
Key Responsibilities: Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging special procedures
Receive and complete requisitions, forms, and reports
Prepare and monitor supplies and equipment
Monitor patients during MRI procedures
Operate acquisition equipment and archive acquired images
Requirements: Graduate from an accredited Magnetic Resonance program
Hold CAMRT certified Technologist in Magnetic Resonance designation
Three years recent related experience, including two years MRI experience
Demonstrate image quality assessment and quality control knowledge
Operate PACS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and specialized software
Bring MRI expertise, patient monitoring, image quality knowledge, and computerized imaging skills to Island Healthâs Victoria team.
