Keep City of Burlington transit vehicles clean and dispatch-ready through detailed interior cleaning, fueling, and equipment operation.

Work occurs in person at 3332 Harvester Road.

As a General Service Person in Transit Maintenance, you will contribute to the extensive bus cleaning program and support Operations with vehicle change-offs.

The temporary union assignment lasts up to one year and includes up to 32 hours weekly.

The work involves buses, cars, trucks, and vans.

Key Responsibilities: Perform detailed interior cleaning across transit vehicles
Use detergents, power washers, vacuums, and automatic bus washes
Complete exterior cleaning of buses, cars, and trucks
Fuel vehicles and check required fluid levels
Meet reasonable time expectations for assigned duties
Requirements: Grade 12 education
Valid Ontario GZ licence
Ability to upgrade to a CZ class licence
Mechanical inclination with tools and equipment
Readiness for physically demanding, repetitive shift work
Bring practical cleaning, fueling, and equipment abilities to maintain City of Burlington transit vehicles to quality standards.
