Scrum Master

Contract | Remote The Role

You’ll work as a cross-functional resource across development, QA, design, SEO, analytics and project management, owning our sprint process in Asana. You’ll make sure every team has a clear plan each week, realistic commitments based on actual capacity, and follow-through on every ticket.

Responsibilities

- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies across development, QA, design, SEO and analytics teams: sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Run weekly sprint management in Asana, including sprint setup, backlog grooming with PMs and team leads, and making sure work is properly scoped, estimated and assigned before it enters a sprint.
- Manage cutoff dates and bandwidth across all disciplines, balancing capacity across concurrent client projects and flagging overcommitment or scheduling conflicts early.
- Track and report on velocity, sprint completion rate, carryover, cycle time and other delivery metrics, and use them to improve planning accuracy over time.
- Ensure tickets are updated, moved through the workflow and closed on time, following up with team members on stale or blocked tasks.
- Identify blockers and handoff dependencies between teams (for example, design to dev, dev to QA, SEO and analytics requirements ahead of launch) and drive them to resolution.
- Adapt sprint and intake processes to different types of work, from build tickets to design reviews, SEO audits and recommendations, and analytics/tracking implementation.
- Make sure SEO and analytics tasks (redirects, metadata, schema, tracking setup, QA of events)



are planned into sprints early rather than left until launch.
- Maintain Asana hygiene: consistent project structure, statuses, custom fields and naming conventions across teams.
- Partner with PMs and team leads to align sprint commitments with client deadlines and launch dates.
- Prepare regular sprint summaries and delivery health reports for leadership.
- Continuously improve our processes based on retrospective feedback and metrics.

Requirements

- 3+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead or similar role.
- Hands-on experience running sprints in Asana (Jira or ClickUp experience also valued).
- Experience in an agency, consultancy or multi-client workplace, coordinating work across creative, technical and marketing disciplines.
- Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum practices, and the judgment to adapt them to a fast-moving services business.
- Comfortable working with sprint metrics and turning data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills; you’re persistent without being disruptive.
- Familiarity with web project workflows end to end: design, development, QA, SEO, analytics and launch.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.

Nice to Have

- Scrum certification (PSM, CSM or equivalent).
- Experience with Webflow, Shopify or headless CMS projects.
- Working knowledge of SEO and analytics deliverables (site migrations, redirect mapping, GA4/GTM tracking) and how they fit into a build timeline.
- Experience setting up Asana automations, rules, dashboards and reporting.
- Experience supporting distributed teams across multiple time zones.
