The CNC Operator / Machinist will be responsible for the successful daily operation of two Manual Lathe machines. (Doosan Puma 2600Y CNC turning centre and a Doosan Lynx 2600Y turning centre)

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

- Program and set up the machines
- Machining components according to blueprints
- Ensuring the quality of finished product
- Transport steel within the factory as required
- Operate tools and hoists to effectively complete jobs according to Norstar Safety Standards
- Basic troubleshooting and repairs of equipment as well as equipment maintenance

Requirements

- Must have previous, related experience
- Experience setting up an CNC Lathe (tooling)
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy workplace
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic




- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to multitask
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and guidance from shop leadership
- Ability to follow all safety protocols
- Physically able to lift up to 45 lbs
- Willingness to work Overtime as required
