Job Description

Ample Construction is seeking experienced and dependable welders to join our fabrication team in Brooks, Alberta.

We have ongoing fabrication requirements, including several CWB welding projects, and are looking for skilled individuals who take pride in producing high-quality work.

Successful applicants will work in a fabrication shop environment alongside experienced tradespeople and supervisors.

Responsibilities

- Perform welding and fabrication work according to engineering drawings and project specifications.
- Produce consistent, high-quality welds that meet applicable CWB and project requirements.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, welding symbols and measurements.
- Prepare, fit and assemble steel components for welding.
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect completed welds and correct deficiencies when required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, quality control personnel and other welders.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in industrial welding or metal fabrication.




- Experience with MIG (GMAW) and/or flux-core (FCAW) welding.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
- Understanding of welding procedures, quality standards and protected work practices.
- CWB welding qualifications are considered an asset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
