Job Summary : We are seeking a friendly, organized, and community-focused individual to join our team as a Community Worker - E-Bike & Kayak Rentals & Outreach Coordinator . This relates to GREEN JOBS because it is focused on promoting wellness and exercise and the use of electric powered bicycles that decrease the use of carbon fuels and promote health and recreation. This hybrid role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, engaging with people, and promoting sustainable recreation. You’ll manage daily operations of our e-bike and kayak rental programs, ensure equipment is well-maintained, and serve as a key ambassador for our community outreach initiatives.

Key Responsibilities : Rental Operations (E-Bikes & Kayaks) :

- Manage the daily setup and takedown of rental stations.
- Assist customers with rental bookings, safety instructions, and proper equipment usage.
- Inspect and maintain rental gear, including basic troubleshooting and repairs.
- Monitor inventory and report maintenance needs or supply restocks.
- Maintain accurate rental records, waivers, and feedback logs.

Community Outreach & Engagement :

- Act as a community liaison, promoting our programs and events through direct outreach.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with local residents, businesses, and partner organizations.
- Support and lead educational workshops or guided tours related to bike safety, water safety, or sustainable recreation.
- Help design and distribute flyers, social media content,



and community notices.
- Gather feedback from the public to help improve rental services and community programming.

Administration & Reporting :

- Track usage data, customer feedback, and outreach engagement.
- Assist in preparing reports for supervisors or funding partners.
- Support grant or program evaluation efforts by documenting impact stories and participation metrics.

Qualifications :

- Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
- Business skills and University/college level knowledge is required to ensure these businesses are upkept properly
- Experience with customer service, outdoor recreation, or equipment rentals is preferred.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical knowledge of e-bikes or kayaks is a plus (training provided).
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and some evenings.

Salary : $17.68 - $18.72 (Including 4% Vac.) (must be a high school or post-secondary student and/or planning to attend/return a post-secondary institution) for 40 hours weekly (full-time)
