NOW HIRING Component Nailer Operators – Morning & Evening Shifts

Position Overview

The Mill Wood Systems is looking for two dependable, detail-oriented Component Nailer Operators to join our prefabricated wall manufacturing team.

We are hiring one operator for our morning shift and one for our evening shift.

This is a specialized production position responsible for assembling, inspecting, organizing, and preparing wood framing components before they reach our interior and exterior wall assembly lines.

Your primary responsibility is to ensure both production lines are continuously supplied with accurately assembled, quality-checked, and properly organized components ahead of each shift.

Key Responsibilities

Component Assembly

- Operate the component nailing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assemble headers, sills, cripples, trimmers, king studs, L-ties, and other framing components.
- Follow production drawings, component labels, and assembly requirements.
- Ensure all components are assembled accurately and consistently.

Quality Control

- Inspect all completed components for proper dimensions, assembly, and nailing.
- Double-check component labels against production drawings and cut lists.
- Identify and correct mistakes before components reach the assembly lines.
- Ensure every completed component has passed quality control before being stacked for production.

Organization & Production Preparation

- Organize completed components by wall bunk, wall identification, and production sequence.
- Stack components neatly and safely in their designated locations.
- Keep interior and exterior components clearly separated.
- Prepare and organize components ahead of the upcoming shift.
- Maintain accurate records of completed and inspected components.

Production Readiness





- Stay ahead of both interior and exterior wall assembly lines.
- Monitor upcoming production requirements and prioritize components accordingly.
- Communicate with line leaders and the shop foreman to prevent shortages.
- Ensure the next shift starts with its required components completed, inspected, and organized.
- Maintain a clean, efficient, and well-organized workstation.

What We're Looking For

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to read basic construction drawings and measurements.
- Experience with framing, carpentry, or wood manufacturing is an asset.
- Ability to operate pneumatic tools and production equipment safely.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to plan ahead and keep production moving without constant supervision.

Evening Shift: 1 Full-Time Position
