Hours of Work: 4 - 5 mornings per week (Hours will include some weekends and evenings)

POSITION SUMMARY

The successful candidate will work as part of a team to care for young children. The main responsibilities will be to care for the children while their parents attend FCSS services in a nearby room. The position will work with a diverse population, in a variety of community settings.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Highschool Diploma
- Relevant training in the delivery of Early Childhood Education programs.
- An understanding of the philosophy of prevention programs and services.
- Transparent criminal & child intervention checks.
- Valid Class 5 drivers licence.

SERVICE AREA

Lethbridge County, County of Warner, M.D. of Taber.

ABILITIES AND SKILLS

- Experience working with culturally diverse and vulnerable populations.
- Meet the physical requirements of set-up/take down for childcare programs.




- Second language an asset (Spanish, Blackfoot, Low German etc.).

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide age-appropriate activities for children.
- Ensure a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children.
- Create an inclusive and welcoming environment.
- Provide guidance to children in their social interactions with others.
- Set up, clean up and organize childcare program.
