Hi!

Level One Game Pub, Ottawa's premiere board and video game pub is currently looking for a full time Kitchen Manager to lead our our culinary team. You would report directly to the General Manager/Owner, who is on site most days.

Who we are:

Established in 2014, we are a 3-storey, 255-seat full service restaurant serving pizza and pub food. We are located in a heritage building on Waller Street just East of the Rideau Centre. You can find our current full menu online at www.levelonegamepub.com. Our kitchen is comprised of a large oven with baking stones for our pizzas, a secondary oven for dips and other items, 3 deep fryers, and some hot-holding equipment. We are open at 12:00pm every day until Midnight (Thurs-Sun) or 2:00am (Fri-Sat) with last call 90 minutes before close. In addition to our normal menu, we often run buffets for large groups during the holiday season, or for tour groups or other large groups throughout the year.

Who we're looking for:

The ideal candidate would have at least several years of experience in commercial kitchen management and have a passion for cooking, leading a crew, cleanliness, and organization. We are a workplace based on respect and have a core of people who have been with us for several years. As such,



we are only looking for someone who can treat all members with respect, and expect to be treated that way in turn. A valid food handler's certificate is mandatory.

The Role:

- Develop, test, and implement recent menu ideas
- Hire, train, and manage new members of the culinary team
- Create the culinary team schedule, monitoring labor and staffing needs
- Oversee daily food preparation, line execution, and plating standards
- Monitor inventory, order necessary products, and control cost of goods sold
- Establish and maintain proper protocols for sanitation, safety and cleanliness
- TL;DR Run the kitchen
