Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer (Remote) Remote | Ontario | Contract Contract Duration: 5 months Pay Rate Range: $40-$45/hr We're seeking a hands-on Cloud & DevOps Engineer to support and maintain customer-facing software products used globally. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of cloud infrastructure, DevOps, application support, troubleshooting, and software maintenance. You'll work alongside engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable product operation, improve deployment processes, support production environments, and help document critical system architecture. What You'll Be Doing
- Maintain and support cloud-based software products and services
- Troubleshoot production issues and partner with internal teams to identify and resolve defects
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure environments
- Support and improve CI/CD processes and deployment automation
- Perform software patching, security updates, and performance tuning
- Analyze and document application architecture, workflows, and system dependencies
- Contribute to operational best practices that improve system reliability, scalability, and maintainability
- Collaborate with distributed engineering teams across multiple time zones What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, DevOps, or a related discipline




- Experience supporting production software applications in cloud environments
- Strong knowledge of AWS or GCP
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Docker, Linux, and Git-based workflows
- Working knowledge of full-stack applications and modern web technologies
- Experience with JavaScript and React-based applications
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or DynamoDB
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently Nice to Have
- Experience with Go and/or C#
- Experience with Jenkins, Buildkite, or similar pipeline tools
- Exposure to gRPC and Protobuf
- Experience supporting desktop applications
- Familiarity with Electron-based applications
- Exposure to 3D, visualization, gaming, VR, AR, or Unity-based technologies
- Experience working across both AWS and GCP environments Environment
