This Assistant Buyer and Drop Ship Coordinator works with the Appliance Buyer on category management activities. Responsibilities include purchasing, assortment planning, merchandise allocation, inventory levels, supplier relationships, and profitability tracking. The position also coordinates product campaigns, promotions, online business, and vendor-supported product knowledge for sales associates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with home appliances category management and planning
- Coordinate marketing campaigns and promotional activities
- Monitor technology trends and troubleshoot product issues
- Solicit earned allowances, rebates,
and co-op support
- Coordinate vendor product knowledge and in-store sales support
Requirements:
- Home appliance procurement experience, including major appliances
- Knowledge of current appliance industry trends and technology
- Category management experience in a related workplace
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and prescribed deadlines
- Organization, project management, and problem-solving enthusiasm
