As an Operations Accountant, you will contribute during an eighteen-month term within Surge Energy’s accounting department. Your work includes reviewing and recording JIBs, non-operated royalties, account reconciliations, payout statements, and operational results. The position suits an oil and gas accounting professional who communicates effectively across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and record JIBs and non-operated royalties
- Investigate and resolve partner queries with the JV Accounting team
- Assist monthly operational reporting, analysis, and variance reviews




- Review and update allocation cost centers regularly
- Collect and provide data for internal and external audits

Requirements:

- At least two to five years of oil and gas experience
- Diploma in Accounting or related discipline preferred
- Robust experience with Qbyte FM, Optix, CS Land, and Execute
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel capability
- Detail orientation and effective multi-department communication
