This Sales Associate position serves families shopping for dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, and small animals. You will use your knowledge and experience to provide customer service, operate the point-of-sale system, prepare orders, and stock merchandise. Pet Valu stores also support local pets in need through shelters, rescues, charities, adoption events, food banks, and fundraising campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

- Help Pet Parents select nutrition and pet care solutions
- Provide cashier service and complete customer sales
- Prepare merchandise orders, banking, and miscellaneous paperwork
- Place pet supplies into stock across the sales area
- Assist with delivery unloading and inventory stocking

Requirements:

- Retail or customer service experience
- Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems
- Friendly, outgoing approach and solid service skills
- Ability to lift fifty pounds repeatedly
- Scheduled availability, including possible weekends and evenings
