Shape enterprise systems projects at Carleton University, defining user requirements and improving processes across Student Services, HR, Finance, and Administration. The continuing full time position is based on campus.
As Senior Project Management Specialist, you will guide strategic, transformational projects from initiation through closeout. Your work includes analyzing system alternatives, reviewing designs, supporting enhancements, and coordinating delivery within a matrix structure. You will also help ensure users receive training and project outcomes meet time and budget expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define user requirements for enterprise systems
- Analyze alternative system solutions and review system designs
- Implement improved business processes and system enhancements
- Coordinate project work within an organizational matrix
- Ensure users are trained on implemented systems
Requirements:
- Seven years of related project management experience
- Honours degree, ideally combining computer science and project management
- Knowledge of change management and systems development methodologies
- Experience with workflow modeling and packaged software implementation
- PMP certification considered a strong asset
