This full time manager oversees recreation services in a senior care setting. The work includes planning, organizing, documenting, implementing, and evaluating programs that improve residents’ experiences. You will motivate staff and volunteers, respond with HEART, monitor expenditures, and support compliance with regulatory requirements and the Resident Bill of Rights.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and organize resident events and activities
- Ensure residents participate in multiple monthly activities
- Hire, train, and engage recreation personnel
- Collaborate with community partners and volunteers




- Follow regulatory requirements and Resident Bill of Rights

Requirements:

- Minimum two years’ program planning experience in senior care
- Minimum one year in a health care setting
- Post-secondary Recreation Therapy or Therapeutic Recreation education
- Passion for working with seniors using person-centered approaches
- Activity Pro, Point Click Care, RAI-MDS experience is an asset
