Apply HMPPS offender management practices, OASys assessments and safeguarding procedures while supporting prisoners through custody and resettlement.
As a Prison Offender Manager, you will manage a designated caseload under the HMPPS Offender Management in Custody Model. You will assess risks and needs, coordinate sentence plans and work with prison colleagues, probation services and external stakeholders. Line management guidance and development support are provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete OASys, BCST 1 and resettlement plans
- Follow public protection and safeguarding procedures
- Liaise with colleagues and partners to share relevant information
- Prepare parole, recall, MAPPA and categorisation documentation
- Complete Release on Temporary Licence risk assessments
Requirements:
- Ability to build positive qualified relationships across prison services
- Confidence engaging, motivating and encouraging prisoners
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Flexible, proactive approach to continuous learning
- Knowledge of HMPPS policies and Offender Management Unit audits desirable
Bring accurate documentation, collaborative working and safeguarding awareness to HMPPS offender management and sentence progression duties.
