Job Description
On behalf of our public-sector client, Affinity is seeking a Business Analyst II to support readiness, preparation, and implementation activities for the Core Operations Modernization Project. The successful candidate will have strong business analysis, facilitation, process analysis, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience supporting complex transformation or technology initiatives, particularly within an Oracle Cloud environment, would be considered an asset. Responsibilities
- Current-state and future-state process documentation, gap analyses, requirements, readiness assessments, action plans, decision logs, and other assigned business analysis artifacts.
- Working-session materials, documented outcomes, decisions, action items, owners, and target completion dates.
- Analysis and documentation supporting business process, data, testing, training, change, cutover, and operational-readiness activities.
- Identification, documentation, and tracking of readiness gaps, risks, issues, dependencies, and assigned actions.
- Regular status updates outlining progress, upcoming activities, risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions required. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, or a 2-year College Diploma in Information Technology or a relevant field.
- 5+ years of IT Business Analyst experience. Scored Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience supporting business analysis for enterprise information technology solutions, including assessing impacts to business processes, data, integrations, reporting, security roles, and operational procedures.
- 5+ years of experience performing business analysis activities on complex technology implementations, including requirements validation, process analysis, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- 3+ years of experience documenting current-state and future-state business processes, identifying gaps, and defining operational impacts.




- 3+ years of experience planning or supporting implementation-readiness activities, including business process validation, data readiness, testing, training, change impacts, cutover, and operational readiness.
- 3+ years of experience facilitating cross-functional workshops with business, technical, project, and vendor stakeholders and translating outcomes into clear actions and deliverables.
- 3+ years of experience developing structured Business Analysis deliverables, including requirements, process maps, gap analyses, decision logs, traceability matrices, readiness assessments, and action plans.
- 3+ years of experience working with implementation partners or third-party vendors.
- 3+ years of experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business validation. Desirable Skills And Attributes
- Business Analysis certifications such as IIBA CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, PMI-PBA, or equivalent are considered an asset.
- Experience supporting complex transformation or technology initiatives, particularly within an Oracle Cloud environment, is considered an asset.
