STARS seeks an Emergency Communications Specialist, Level 2, for its Calgary base. You will support requests from first responders, dispatch professionals, and physicians. The work requires real-time information entry, protocol-based call handling, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to critical care requests from emergency professionals
- Follow established protocols for effective, efficient call handling
- Enter information accurately into multi-screen systems
- Use CAD, mapping tools, telephones, and radios
- Maintain information discretion and confidentiality
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills and skilled phone manner
- Calm focus during high-consequence situations
- Exceptional multitasking and attention to detail
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
