Lookout Housing and Health Society seeks a full-time temporary Shelter Resource Worker until the incumbent returns. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will provide direct service in a 24-hour emergency shelter for homeless adults facing homelessness, addictions, and mental health challenges. The work includes guest intakes, orientations, support, and connections with public service agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide support, supervision, and assistance to homeless adults
- Complete guest interviews and provide basic necessities
- Refer guests to community services and external resources




- Complete required records and maintain statistical data
- Support new staff and maintain shelter safety

Requirements:

- Related certificate or Grade 12 with two years’ experience
- Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
- Familiarity with addiction, mental health, and harm reduction resources
- Strong communication, documentation, organization, and stress management skills
- Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Clearance and respirator fit testing
