Temporary Full Time
Salary Range: $29.76 - $35.00 /hour
This is a part-time temporary position expected to extend until March 12, 2028, subject to the availability of work.

Essential Qualifications

- Diploma in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation or other related field
- Long term care experience
- Smart serve certificate
- Food and Handler's certificate
- Class F License or ability to obtain within the 3 month probationary period
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with a variety of medical conditions and a variety of ages
- Previous experience working with volunteers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Solid interpersonal and organizational skills
- Knowledge of computer systems (Microsoft Office, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently as well as in an interdisciplinary team setting
- Knowledge of the Leisure Well Being Model
- A police record check completed within the last six (6)



months from a Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC), inclusive of vulnerable sector screening, will be required of the successful candidate

Preferred Qualifications

- Proficiency in French would be an asset
- Bachelor's Degree within Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation and Leisure or related health field with a concentration in Therapeutic Recreation
- Health care setting experience
- Member in Therapeutic Recreation Ontario (TRO)

Immunization Requirements

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps rubella, varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, COVID-19 and influenza.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
