Visionpool Business Services seeks a UNIX Mid Range Support Consultant to administer, manage, and support UNIX environments. The work spans data centre services, direct access storage, capacity management, performance management, availability management, and systems support.

The consultant also supports AIX environments, Oracle databases, SAP, GIS, and Veritas Net Backup.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor UNIX systems for availability, capacity, performance, and security
- Provide backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability services
- Manage DASD utilization, allocation, thresholds, reporting, and catalogue management
- Install patches,



releases, agents, and systems management software
- Provide tier two support, incident management, and performance tuning

Requirements:

- Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree
- Minimum five years in UNIX Mid Range Support
- ITIL Foundation or Service Manager certification
- Demonstrated record of continuous improvement
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan
