Start early at Purolator’s Grande Prairie Depot as a part time AM Sorter, using conveyor loading and freight scanning skills. Work Monday to Friday, 04:15-08:45, for 22.5 hours weekly.
The AM Sorter separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules. No experience or specialized education is required for this warehouse environment role. You will unload, load, preload, transfer, and scan freight, mail, and packages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor
- Move freight from conveyors or chutes for load-out
- Load linehaul, cube trucks, or trailers
- Preload mail and packages into delivery vehicles
- Scan shipments and identify improperly sorted packages
Requirements:
- Use proper scanning and loading techniques
- Lift or carry up to 70 pounds
- Work with urgency in time-sensitive conditions
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Complete required screening and employment verification
