Reports to: Road Superintendent

Location: Initial Placement - To Be Determined

Minimum Qualifications:

- Secondary school education or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good technical and mechanical skills
- Valid Class D license with Z endorsement with an acceptable abstract
- Ability to operate light, medium, and heavy equipment, including but not limited to standard transmission tandem dump truck, loader/backhoe, snowplow/sander, tractors, chainsaws, weed eaters, etc.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment
- Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Demonstrated secure work practices (in compliance with applicable legislation, i.e. Occupational Health & Safety Act, Ontario Traffic Manual Book 7, County of Brant Health & Safety Policies & Procedures, etc.)

Assets:

- Experience with and demonstrated ability to operate road grader
- Knowledge related to Public Works

Duties:

- Operate a variety of light, medium and heavy equipment, power and hand tools to perform maintenance, repair,



construction tasks and winter control operations as related to Public Works type activities
- Other relevant duties as assigned

Wage:

- $26.75/hour - Probationary Rate
- $29.96/hour - 6 months to 1 year Rate
- $33.16/hour - 12 month + Rate
- Shift Premium available

Duration: Mid November - Mid April 40 hours/week

Shift Vacancy: 10:30 pm - 7:00 am (Sunday - Thursday)
8:00 pm - 6:30 am (Rotating shift)
