Perform hematology laboratory testing as a Medical Laboratory Technician with LifeLabs in Mississauga, Ontario. Work part time with accuracy and patient confidentiality.

LifeLabs seeks a Medical Laboratory Technician for its Mississauga team under the OPSEU LAB collective agreement. The position includes specimen handling, data entry, testing, quality assurance, and equipment maintenance. You will work under direct supervision of a medical laboratory technologist while following LifeLabs Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle and prioritize specimens according to LifeLabs Procedures
- Enter specimens and triage testing appropriately
- Perform manual and automated hematology testing
- Complete quality assurance procedures and identify non-conformances
- Maintain instruments, reagents, supplies, and laboratory safety

Requirements:

- High School diploma
- WHMIS training
- Previous Chemistry laboratory experience preferred
- Registered Laboratory Assistant certification optional
- Ability to handle biohazardous materials and chemicals
