Protect Barkerville Heritage Trust property, guests, and facilities through patrols, emergency response, and safety monitoring in a casual, on-call capacity.

As a Protection Services team member, you will support heritage conservation across the park. Duties include securing premises, monitoring surveillance, responding to hazards, and maintaining public safety. You will also assist customers, staff, tenants, contractors, and merchant businesses during diverse operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Patrol town and park while securing premises and access points
- Respond to intruders, fires, hazards, flooding, theft, and vandalism
- Test, troubleshoot, and reset fire protection systems
- Complete cleaning, garbage collection, and winter maintenance rounds
- Administer first aid and assist during emergencies

Requirements:

- Grade 12 graduation
- Valid Class 5 British Columbia driver's license
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Criminal record check approval
- Ability to perform physical manual labour duties
