Lead Microsoft SQL Server administration and development for the Greater Essex County District School Board in Windsor, Ontario. Support student and business systems.

This full time Database Administrator contract lasts 18 months within Information Technology Services. The technical lead supports databases, integrations, data warehouses, reporting, and internally developed applications. Work includes T-SQL, relational modelling, performance tuning, security, backups, and recovery. The position also develops applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, .NET/C#, PHP, and SQL.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer, secure, optimize, and support Board databases
- Maintain software, backups, recovery, testing, and documentation
- Develop applications, scripts, tools, reports, and dashboards
- Schedule and monitor integrations using SQL Agent, ETL, APIs, SFTP,



and PowerShell
- Provide technical escalation and on-call support during critical periods

Requirements:

- Three years of progressive database administration and development experience
- Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, modelling, tuning, security, and recovery experience
- Web and business application development experience with listed technologies
- Proficiency with PowerShell, SQL Agent, SSIS, and SSRS or equivalents
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, technical training, or equivalent approved experience
