Deliver recreational programming in Medicine Hat as a Temporary Part Time Recreational Therapy Aide with Good Samaritan. Support residents’ individual goals safely.

At Good Samaritan South Ridge Village, this Therapy Aide facilitates recreation programs for residents in long term care. The position provides support, direction, and supervision to volunteers while assisting geriatric and disabled populations, including people with cognitive impairments. Work occurs Monday through Friday, 0830 to 1500, at 0.77 FTE.

Key Responsibilities:

- Facilitate and implement recreational programs for residents
- Provide secure, effective programming focused on individual goals
- Support, direct, and supervise volunteers
- Assist residents with varied cognitive impairments

Requirements:

- High school diploma required
- Two years’ Continuing Care or Community Care experience
- Valid Class IV Driver’s Licence and First Aid Certificate
- Computer experience and strong English communication skills
- Food Safe Certificate or equivalent for Alberta employees
