Operate heavy equipment and explicit snow safely as a Seasonal Operator with Dawson Road Maintenance in Smithers, Carnaby, or Stewart, British Columbia.
This temporary, full-time position reports to the Road Foreperson and supports road safety across assigned service areas. You will operate equipment, follow production schedules, complete reports, and perform maintenance tasks. Road maintenance, construction, commercial driving, and snow removal experience are valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clear snow and ice from public roadways
- Operate heavy equipment safely in all weather conditions
- Follow daily production schedules and supervisor direction
- Complete activity reports, work reports, and maintenance logs
- Perform pothole patching, greasing, and sign maintenance
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license
- Minimum two years road maintenance or construction experience
- Two years commercial driving experience considered an asset
- Snow removal experience considered an asset
- Ability to manage electronic reporting using tablets
Bring safe equipment operation, road maintenance experience, and a valid Class 1 or 3 license to Dawson Road Maintenance.
