About the Role

Our client, a key manufacturer in Kimberley, Northern Cape , is seeking a meticulous and analytical Production Scheduler. This critical role involves creating and managing detailed production schedules to ensure efficient manufacturing operations, timely order fulfillment, and optimal resource utilization. You will work closely with various departments, including production, procurement, and sales, to balance demand with capacity. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to manage schedules and coordinate remotely, while also engaging on-site for essential meetings and oversight in Kimberley . Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed production schedules.
- Coordinate with sales and customer service to understand demand forecasts and customer orders.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
- Work with production supervisors to align schedules with available capacity and resources.
- Monitor production progress against the schedule, identifying and resolving deviations.
- Optimize schedules to minimize lead times, reduce downtime, and maximize efficiency.
- Prepare regular reports on production status, schedule adherence,



and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Adjust schedules in response to changes in demand, material availability, or production issues.
- Maintain accurate production planning data in the ERP system.
- Participate in S&OP; (Sales and Operations Planning) meetings.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning or scheduling.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems and production scheduling software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and constraints.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in the Kimberley, Northern Cape region.
