Provide stroke and rehabilitation nursing care as a part-time Registered Practical Nurse at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. Apply clinical judgment and medication administration skills across medicine areas.

This temporary RPN assignment supports the Medicine Program’s Integrated Stroke and Rehabilitation Inpatient unit. You will provide quality patient care within organizational, College of Nurses of Ontario, and legislative standards. The 40-bed unit follows evidence-based stroke pathways while patients transition from acute care to intensive rehabilitation. The position supports RVH’s organization-wide Surge Plan for Surge Level 3 and may serve medicine patients across multiple clinical areas.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide quality patient care within the approved delivery model
- Support medicine patients across multiple clinical areas




- Apply evidence-based stroke care pathways and screening tools
- Function independently within the nursing scope of practice
- Collaborate with the interprofessional patient care team

Requirements:

- Registered Practical Nursing Diploma or equivalent full-scope education
- Recognized Medication Administration Course completion
- Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration certificate
- Knowledge of nursing processes and qualified responsibilities
- Computer literacy using current software applications

Use nursing judgment, medication administration, and communication skills supporting stroke rehabilitation and medicine patients throughout RVH.
