Maintain production equipment as an Industrial Millwright at Maple Leaf Foods’ Saskatoon facility, using troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills. This role follows rotating shifts excluding nights.
Maple Leaf Foods is accepting applications for its Millwright position at the 100 McLeod Avenue sausage facility. Working in a unionized Maintenance department, you will service equipment supporting daily production and plant efficiencies. The role requires mechanical knowledge, equipment repair, and computerized maintenance documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex production equipment
- Operate equipment and check performance as required
- Complete preventative maintenance procedures and work orders
- Machine and fabricate equipment repairs or upgrades
- Apply food safety, GMP, HACCP, WHMIS, and safety requirements
Requirements:
- Valid Industrial Mechanic Millwright Journeyperson Certificate
- One to three years manufacturing experience considered an asset
- Mechanical knowledge of power transmission, pneumatics, and hydraulics
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics
- Basic computer ability and solid communication skills
