Moss LED
Mississauga
Company Overview Moss LED Inc. designs, builds, and distributes LED lighting for film, television, commercial, and industrial applications — FlexLED, OmniFlex 360, ML14 Panel FlexLED, LiteStix, RC4 Wireless and the controllers and drivers that run them. We handle off-the-shelf orders and fully custom builds from the same shop floor, which means the work here is hands-on and the feedback loop is short. Our core values 01
- Accountable We own it, fix it & learn from it. Every mistake is an opportunity to improve — no excuses, just solutions. 02
- Creative We are proud to create innovative products and solutions that move the industry forward. 03
- Excellence We don’t settle. We go above and beyond to consistently exceed our clients’ expectations in everything we do. 04
- Collaborative Less me, more of us. We succeed and fail as a team. Together we are stronger than any individual. 05
- Learners We work in cohesion to learn from each other — both internally and externally. We share knowledge across teams and with the broader industry community to grow together. A team that keeps learning never stops improving. Summary We are hiring a dedicated Sales & Marketing Representative to lead our business in Canada. You will manage our established Canadian accounts, including rental houses, studios and dealers we have worked with for years, and grow new business with production companies, integrators, lighting designers and specifiers. This is a hybrid role. You will spend two set days a week at our Mississauga facility, with the rest of your week split between customer visits across the Greater Toronto Area and working from home. Time on site matters: you will work directly with production and engineering to quote custom builds, confirm lead times and learn the products first-hand. The role is based in the Greater Toronto Area, one of North America’s largest film and television production centres. Responsibilities
- Account management:
Manage and grow established Canadian accounts, and take over additional long-standing accounts through a planned handover.
- Inbound enquiries: Qualify, quote, follow up and close, working with production and engineering on custom builds and lead times.
- New business: Prospect and open current accounts in film and television, live events and touring, theatre, and architectural and commercial lighting.
- Customer visits: Visit rental houses, sets and project sites to demonstrate products and support specifications. Travel to Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal and other Canadian markets as needed.
- Trade shows and events: Plan and staff Canadian trade shows and industry events, such as Canada Light Expo, and Expo-Scene and lead structured follow-up after each one.
- Marketing: Plan and run marketing for the Canadian market, including email campaigns, social media, customer project case studies and product demonstrations.
- CRM and forecasting: Keep the CRM and pipeline current and provide a monthly sales forecast.
- Order handoff: Hand confirmed orders to our order desk and keep customers informed through to delivery.
- Market feedback: Report customer feedback, competitor activity and product gaps to ownership and engineering. Required qualifications
- Sales track record: Typically three or more years in B2B sales, including opening new accounts rather than only managing inherited ones.
- Industry: Experience selling into or working in at least one of the following: film and television, live events and theatre, or architectural and commercial lighting.
- Driving:
A valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle for client visits. Assets
- Technical fluency: Working knowledge of lighting technology, or the ability to learn it quickly. Gaffers, lighting designers and specifiers will ask about CRI, colour temperature, DMX and run lengths. Product training is provided.
- Trade show
experience:
Planning and running a booth, from setup through follow-up.
- Marketing: Hands-on experience with email campaigns, social media, content or event marketing.
- Industry relationships: Existing contacts with rental houses, gaffers, lighting designers, integrators or specifiers.
- Systems: Experience with CRM and quoting software.
- Language: French language skills, for customers in Quebec.
- Self-direction: Organized and able to manage your own week across our facility, client sites and home. Compensation and benefits CA$65,000 to CA$75,000 base salary, based on experience, plus uncapped commission.
