Penbrooke Liquor is looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated individual to join our team as a Retail Associate / Key Holder. We take pride in providing excellent customer service, maintaining a welcoming store environment, and ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience. We are looking for someone who is responsible, trustworthy, and enjoys working in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking on additional responsibilities, including opening and closing the store and helping keep daily operations running smoothly. Job Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, professional, and knowledgeable customer service.
- Assist customers with product selection and answer questions about our products.
- Operate the cash register and process cash, debit, and credit transactions accurately.
- Restock shelves, organize merchandise, and maintain attractive product displays.
- Receive, unpack, and organize incoming inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock items to management.
- Maintain store cleanliness and ensure the sales floor is organized.
- Follow all company policies and Alberta liquor regulations.
- Verify customer identification and ensure legal age requirements are followed.
- Open and close the store, including completing daily opening and closing procedures.
- Handle cash balancing and other key holder responsibilities.
- Assist with day-to-day store operations and support management when needed. Qualifications




- Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.
- Must have Proserve Certificate
- Must be reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable handling cash and operating a POS system.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Must meet Alberta's legal age requirements for liquor retail employment.
