Good with tools? Take pride in your work? We’d like to meet you. We’re looking for a dependable, hands-on person who enjoys building things, solving problems, and working with a good crew. At Buy Rite Business Furnishings, we help businesses across the Lower Mainland furnish their workplaces. You’ll help deliver and install everything from desks and chairs to complete office setups—and leave each space ready for people to get to work. Furniture installation experience is welcome, but it isn’t essential. If you’re comfortable with tools, willing to learn, and bring a great attitude, we can teach you our products and installation methods. What you’ll do
- Load, unload, move, assemble, and install office furniture.
- Use hand and power tools safely and carefully.
- Protect furniture, floors, walls, and clients’ spaces.
- Work with your crew to solve problems and keep jobs moving.
- Clear packaging, tidy up, and check the details before leaving.
- Be friendly, respectful, and professional with clients and teammates. Everyone pitches in: from unloading the truck to making the final adjustment. You’ll fit well here if you:
- Show up on time, ready to work, and follow through.
- Know your way around tools and enjoy figuring out how things fit together.
- Notice when something isn’t right and help find a solution.
- Take feedback well and ask questions when you’re unsure.
- Bring a positive attitude & great work ethic.
- Can safely handle active, physical work, including lifting and carrying furniture, using stairs, bending, and being on your feet. We use team lifts and moving equipment when needed.
- Are comfortable with weekly hours that change with project demand. Experience in furniture assembly, delivery, moving, carpentry, construction, or other hands-on work is an asset. Having your own basic tools is preferred. How we work together Our values are simple,
and we put them into practice:
- Aim for Greatness: Take pride in the details. Keep learning.
- Value Everyone: Treat people well and help your teammates.
- Show Up Fully: Be dependable, take ownership, and speak up early when there’s a problem.
- Enjoy the Ride: Bring good energy. Stay kind, even when the day gets challenging. The schedule & what to expect This role suits someone who is comfortable with changing hours.
- A slower week may be around 12 hours; a busy week may reach 40 hours or more. Hours aren’t guaranteed.
- Most work takes place Monday to Friday, typically 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
- Some projects involve evenings, longer days, or scheduled weekends.
- We aim to give about one week’s notice, though projects sometimes change or come up at shorter notice.
- Clear communication goes both ways: we’ll discuss your availability and ask you to keep us updated.
What we offer
- $21–$26/hour, based on the skills and experience you bring.
- Training on our furniture products and installation methods.
- Varied, practical work where you can see what you’ve accomplished.
- A crew that values good work, teamwork, and a positive attitude.
- Potential to move into full-time work as demand grows, with opportunities to develop into a lead hand. Interested? Keep your application simple. Apply through Indeed with your résumé or a short summary of your experience. Tell us:
- What hands-on work you’ve done and which tools you’re comfortable using.
- Your usual availability and whether changing weekly hours work for you.
- A quick example of a problem you helped solve on a job or project. If you’re handy, dependable, and someone teammates can count on, we’d like to hear from you. Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
